IkigaiBooks is a completely independent publishing company that mainly focuses on the production of children’s illustrated ebooks, however is integrating the creating of ebooks for adults into it’s process. We are completely self-sufficient, meaning all of the financing is private which allows us to completely control the production process starting with writing of the story, to drawing of illustrations, design, and distribution of the final product. Being an independent company allows us also to make the changes that we believe are necessary and to spend as much time as needed per title until we agree that the final version of the title is ready for public.
Why IkigaiBooks is different?
IkigaiBooks places paramount importance on the story and accompanying illustrations for kids ebooks.
Storyline- is an integral part of any book. Besides being informative and entertaining it has to be also educational and philosophical. Because the primary audience for the product is children ages 2 and up, the information presented must be written in a simple, understandable language and all the philosophical points must be presented in an easy to comprehend way. Stories touch upon very important concepts and issue, however are still presented in a child-friendly way.
Values- we take pride in producing children’s ebooks and thus feel the need to place core values into every book- family, friendship, help, love, support, making morally right decisions- all that a child will understand and learn upon listening to the story which is read to him/her by a parent.
Illustrations- some children are too young to read and thus can only listen and look at illustrations, for that reason it is super important to produce great visual support for the story.
All of the illustrations that appear in our Russian fairy tales ebooks or children's fiction ebooks are done by professional artists. Sometimes the illustrations are sent to another artist in order to increase their quality, add details and final touches to our kids fairy tale stories.

Design- the design of every kids ebook is different, we like to be innovative, optimize maximum space and be as efficient as possible. The reason for producing children’s illustrated ebooks is to give children and adults magical fairy-tale experiences, to give them good emotions and feelings, to help create a stronger bond and understanding between generations, namely between parents and their children.
